Information on the Feast 2010
With the Feast of Trumpets having just
passed and the Feast of Atonement fast approaching (from
6:00 PM Thursday to 6:00 PM Friday, September 16-17), we
would like to remind you once again that it is a good
time to start preparing physically, mentally, and
spiritually for the Feast of Tabernacles and the coming
of the Lord to earth. This can be done by such
things as focusing more on spiritual practices, reading
and contemplating the Scriptures, eating more
Satvic food, etc.
More information has been added to
the Feast
2010 schedule. For example, the names of the
lectures have been finalized, and a time has been set
aside for community service on
Day 6.
Please review the schedule to see what is new.
Several parts of the schedule are
still not finalized, and are listed with yellow
highlighting (___) or
as "TBA" (To Be Announced). We will likely not
have all of these ready until just before the Feast.
When everything is prepared, we will send out another
email to our mailing list explaining these final parts.
Also, in the Welcome to the Feast on
Day 1
(broadcast on PalTalk), we will review the schedule,
explain it in detail, and answer any questions about it.
Therefore, please be sure to attend the Welcome if you
are planning to follow the schedule in your own area.
We are still looking for
volunteers for the morning and evening readings (every
day of the Feast except the Welcome, Sabbath, and Holy
Convocation). If you would like to volunteer,
please send us an email at
Mission_Of_Maitreya@maitreya.org telling us what day
or days you would like to read.
We are also looking for a
volunteer to give the Welcome to the Feast (as a
reference, see the
2009 Welcome). Finally, we are looking for
someone to moderate the Talent Night on
Day 7
(listen to a recording of the
2009 Talent Night). Please email us for more
information on these opportunities.
As always, if you have any questions or
suggestions, please send us an email.
All thanks to God.
