Answer to a question sent to Maitreya

How many Maitreya's are there. Or are you the same one as who Benjamin Creme follows?

We at the Mission are very glad to receive your concerns, and we would like to address them with you if possible. Maitreya is undoubtedly overwhelmed by all the mail He receives and He forwards some of His mail which He cannot answer to His disciples called counselors. This serves a twofold purpose, first it gives Maitreya more time that He desperately needs to address other concerns, and it helps the counselors clarify the Mission and its teachings into their heart.

In your brief letter you express concern or perhaps cynicism about the multiplicity of Maitreyas. In 1982, Benjamin Creme, announced to the world that the expected World Teacher, Maitreya was going to arise in the world. Tara center and the Masters of Wisdom made a media blitz proclaiming His arrival. The articles that they placed in newspapers across the world read like this:

THE CHRIST is now among us . . .

Is a Mature Adult Man . . .

Is Here To Inspire and Ensure

The End of Fear and Starvation.

His presence has been known by few . . . is being discussed by many . . . And will be known by all in spring of 1982.

By the time of the spring of 1982, the Mission was prepared to make its out reach to humanity. The Mission had completed its major Revelation, "The Holiest Of The Holies (THOTH), The Last Testament" (http://www.maitreya.org/english/THOTH.htm). So, the Mission of Maitreya put out an ad in the East West Magazine, Yoga magazine Prevention and few others, you can read what our ad said on our, http://www.maitreya.org/english/ads2.htm.

In short the Mission of Maitreya is a separate organization from Benjamin Creme's Masters of Wisdom. However, Mr. Creme did have a part to play in preparing parts of humanity for our message, but it seems he did not adequately prepare himself, as the Masters of Wisdom denounce Maitreya and His Teachings. I suppose had Benjamin Creme accepted our Maitreya, the cynical people in the world would call it a hoax.

Of course the same thing happened between John the Baptist and Christ. John proclaimed the coming of the Messiah, Christ. He even Baptized Him, but when He claimed who He was, John did not recognized Him!

Since 1982 many have claimed to be Maitreya, or represent Him. This of course was Prophesied that many will come in His name and claim to be Christ.... It is up to every individual to fine the One who has Fulfilled the Prophecies of His coming. So, this, Mr. ..., our relationship with Mr. Creme and for the multiplicity of Maitreyas (though the Masters of Wisdom have yet to produce a Maitreya, just empty promises ever since 1982).

Now that I have dealt with this concern let me delve into the concern of all peoples of both the East and West, which is, is this Maitreya the promised Messiah? Well, at least from a Christian perspective the world is ripe for the return of Christ. How so? Well, Christ gives several clues that will help humanity decipher when He will return:

“And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled . . . And then they shall see the Son of Man coming . . .” (Luke 21:24, 27).

St. John in The Revelation gives us a time frame for the Gentile invasion (period of intellectual domination) of Jerusalem (Holy City, earth) and its restoration:

“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months” (Rev. 11:12).

The date (time frame) given in verse twelve here deals with the Islamic invasion of Jerusalem. The Muslims successfully invaded Jerusalem in 660 A.D., but they did not secure Islamic rule until about the year 688 A.D. It was at this date that the Islamic Caliphates first had control over Islamic life and practices. 688 A.D. plus 1260 years (which is forty-two months or 1260 days, keeping in mind Ezra 4:6) equals 1948 A.D. It was at this date that Israel was once again a free Jewish state and David’s fallen tent was restored, just as God had promised it would be! Christ first promise fulfilled!

Christ gave another promise about His return in the gospel of Matthew:

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).

The International Bible Society currently claims to distribute Bibles in nearly every nation in the world, and those countries that they do not cover are Antarctic, the Middle East and Australia, the latter of which is a Christian nation, and the former two have Bibles currently translated into their languages. The International Bible Society boasts that in the years that lead up to the 1960's and shortly afterward it began an extensive mission operation, translating the Bible in well over 350 more languages than ever before and completing Christ’s promise in Matthew (to reach the entire world with the Gospel) around the year 1977 A.D.

With Christ’s second promise fulfilled, Christians should be expecting what Amos was preaching, the advent of a new revelation:

“‘The days are coming’, declares the Lord, ‘When . . . New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills. . . .’” (Amos 9:13).

The “days” referred to in Amos by God are the days promised to come about when Israel is united and the gospel of the Kingdom is preached all over the world (both of which we have previously seen are fulfilled). After the reunion of Israel and the gospel reaching the ends of the earth, then, “New wine [a new covenant/new revelation] will drip from the mountains [mountains are symbols for great followers of the Prophet, like Disciples] and flow from all the hills [hills are symbols for strong followers of the Prophet, like apostles].” All these prophecies have been fulfilled just as God said, because Maitreya’s Mission began in 1977 A.D., and His Revelation was completed in 1982 A.D. The “New wine” refers to the new revelation sent from God. This is the same revelation mentioned in the book of Romans.

In truth, Bible is very clear that new Revelation WILL come after Christ. Sometimes the Bible says this in symbolic language and sometimes in very clear and precise language. The words of St. Paul would clear this issue up, if Amos' testimony did not:

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation awaits eagerly for the revealing to the sons of God" (Romans 8:18 - 19).

Again in Romans St. Paul jubilantly writes on the same event:

"Because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the Day of Wrath and the revelation of the righteous judgment of God" (Romans 2:5).

St. Paul clearly speaks of Revelation that would come after Christ’s Dispensation during the ‘Day of Wrath’ to the sons of God (Elected Ones). The book of Revelation also supports St. Paul’s words. St. John once wrote:

"Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your Judgments are being manifested" (Revelation 15:4).

It is through sending a Prophet with revelation that Mankind is judged. That is why St. Paul and John show the link between the coming of Revelation (appearances of the Prophets) and the advent of tribulations. An illustration of this point can be found throughout many of the books of the Old Testament Prophets, who not only prophesied of the future, but also passed God’s Judgments upon Israel. In brief we may say: Where there is God’s Judgment, there also is God’s Revelation, and God’s Revelator!

Maitreya gave His Revelation to humanity as THOTH (which I spoke of earlier), and I welcome you to read it and find what is hidden inside. God has done just as He promised He would, the Maitreya is here!

Still even with all this proof from scripture, I still have one more group of prophecies that I would like to discuss with you Mr. .... It is the Biblical account concerned with Zion and Mount Zion.

Many Christians believe that Mount Zion is a literal Mountain, or that the word Jerusalem and the promises about it are literal. Both of these beliefs however, are not Biblical. The terms Mount Zion and Jerusalem have spiritual meanings and are explained in the Bible:

"But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels" (Hebrews 12:22).

"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the Mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever"(Psalm 125:1)

Maitreya gives a similar explanation in THOTH:

"The meaning of mountain in the Bible is given in chapter 2 of Daniel in the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar. In verse 35, it is described how a stone will smite the image in the king’s dream and consume it, and how, ‘. . . the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth’(Daniel 2:35). . . In the interpretation of the dream, the meaning of the stone which destroyed the image (earthly kingdom) is given in verse 44: And in the days of these kings [the last ten kings symbolized as ten toes of the image] shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom [mountain which filled the earth], which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms [as the stone did to the image], and it shall stand forever. . . So the stone (symbol of truth) will come and destroy the untrue set-ups symbolized by the image. The stone will become a great mountain and fill the whole earth. This mountain is the Kingdom w

THOTH allows us to understand what Isaiah was speaking about in the fifty-first chapter of his book, Isaiah wrote:

"The Lord will surely comfort Zion . . . Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: The law will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations."

Isaiah was writing about the same event he had prophetically witnessed in chapter two of his book:

"Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. . . For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations. And rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into pruning hooks; and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore" (Isaiah 2:2-4).

Isaiah is speaking about the ‘latter days,’ or near the ‘times of the end,’ spoken about by Daniel. According to Isaiah during the latter days, God will comfort His true followers, "The Lord will surely comfort Zion." In this time God will send justice upon the world, "my justice will become a light to the nations," and create a system of world peace, "neither shall they learn war anymore." All of God’s Plans for the latter days will be accomplished through a single instrument of unification: Mount Zion..

Isaiah is not the only one to have such visions of a Day of Judgment. St. John the Revelator gives a similar scenario for the ‘latter days.’ John in chapter nineteen of Revelation has a vision of a hero on a white horse, who "judges and makes war . . . out of His mouth." This is to say that the mighty hero will fight armed only with the Word of God.

Isaiah gives a clue of who the mighty hero is, as pictured by st. John:

"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The increase of His government and peace there will be no end. Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever . . ."(Isaiah 9:6-7).

Most Christians believe that the person spoken of in Isaiah chapter nine is Christ. Often this verse is read during the Christmas season because it reads, "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given," but these verses have nothing to do with Christ’s first Manifestation! I have several reasons why Christ could not have been the Manifestation spoken of in Isaiah chapter nine:

1. "The government will be on His shoulders."

Christ had no control of government, nor did He make any attempt at establishing a governmental system to create peace. To my knowledge Christ only ever said one thing about government, He said: "Then He said to them, ‘Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s"(Matthew 22:21). This is hardly the fulfillment of Isaiah’s words!

2. "He shall be called . . . the Prince of Peace."

Christ made it clear in Matthew, that He did not come for peace, and certainly not an everlasting peace. Christ made His mission crystal clear: "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword"(Matthew 10:34). Again, for obvious reasons, Christ was not even attempting to fulfill the words of Isaiah the prophet.

3. "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given . . ."

If Christ was not the Prince of Peace, then who is (was)? The answer is found in the prophecies of Isaiah and St. John’s Revelation. As readers of the Bible we understand that the Prince of Peace, and the Peace of Isaiah Chapter two, are parallel verses to the peace and triumph in Revelation chapter twenty. This is to say, that at the time of Christ’s return He will fulfill the words of Isaiah. Yet, Isaiah tells us how Christ will return, He will do so as a baby. Isaiah wrote: "For unto us a Child is born . . ." Isaiah was not writing about the child born of a virgin birth in Isaiah 7:14 (who was in reference to Christ), Isaiah was writing about a different child who would be born and establish PEACE. The children which are born prophetically in Isaiah seven and then nine are two different children, one who will bring salvation and the other who will bring peace. So the first clue about who will bring peace is that He will born into the world, ju

"The Lord shall . . . recover the remnant of His people . . ."

The next clue given by Isaiah is found in chapter eleven when Isaiah again prophesied about the coming of world peace, and the Prince of Peace. Isaiah wrote:

"It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left . . . He will . . . assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth"(Isaiah 11:11-13).

The second sign for the coming of the Prince of Peace is when Israel is gathered back together in one place. As we have already seen. By all accounts the establishing of a Jewish state was accomplished in the year 1948 A.D., so it was just before this date that the child of Peace would be born and given to humanity

Maitreya was born in Persia on November 8, 1944. Just before the gathering of Israel after World War Two. This is the fulfillment of God’s promises that the Prince of Peace would be born into the world, before the reformation of the state of Israel (as we discussed previously).

5. ". . . He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him . . ."

The question that probably arose in most readers minds is how could the Prince of Peace be born to a women, if He is promised to come from heaven?! That is an excellent question. I have several responses to this common question, all of which deal with misconceptions about the return of Prophets:

A. ". . . and every eye will see Him . . ."

In the book of Luke, the author cites the Prophet Isaiah, as a prophecy which was fulfilled by the birth of Christ. Isaiah wrote: "The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together" (Isaiah 40:5; Luke 3:4-6). How was this fulfilled by Christ? Was Christ seen and heard by all men at once when He was born?

In a similar manner, St. Paul expresses this same phenomena in Corinthians 1:23:"This is the Gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I Paul, have become a servant." And once more St. Paul quotes the Psalmist writing, "Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world" (Romans 10:18; Psalm 19:4). How could such prophecies have been fulfilled? There was a whole content and a bunch of Islands that Paul didn't’t even know existed which the words of Christ would not reach for nearly a thousand four-hundred years!

In a like manner Christians today are expecting Christ to appear and every eye will wittiness His return. Christians accept this belief as literal, but as it has been previously shown by St. Luke and St. Paul these themes are not literal but figurative (spiritual). Maitreya explains the meaning of everyone seeing the Christ in THOTH: "‘Every eye shall see him,’ means that those who have their eyes opened (third eyes [spiritual eyes]) will see him. . ."(THOTH, Revelation Of The Revelation, T 1. V22).

B. "He is coming with clouds . . ."

The word ‘cloud,’ means also that He comes from heaven, in many translations it reads, "Behold, He is coming in the clouds of heaven . . ." What does the Bible mean when it says He comes from heaven?

In the third Chapter of the Book of John, Esa (Jesus) clearly proclaims that, He is in heaven, saying, "No man hat ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven" (John 3:13). Likewise, Esa (Jesus) also expresses that, He has come down from heaven, "For I have come down from heaven . . . ‘I am the bread that came down from heaven" (John 6: 38-51). When the Pharisees heard such a statement they were shocked and asked Christ the same question I ask you . . . "How can, He now say, ‘I came down from heaven" (John 6: 42). Did Esa (Jesus) come out of the sky and land on the earth or was He born of Mary?

In a like manner Christ’s ascension and return are thought to be from heaven,Christ ascended to heaven (Mark 16:19) and upon, His return will descend from heaven (Matthew 24:30). In both cases surely the symbolism used is the same as is used to explain Christ’s descent from heaven when He was born two-thousand years ago! Maitreya also explains what heaven means in the Bible, in THOTH we find:

"When it is said he shall come from the sky, the sky is the same as heaven, and heaven means Pure Consciousness (which is a spiritual state). So he comes from Pure Consciousness, or he come as an Avatar (god-man)"(THOTH, Revelation Of The Revelation, T1. V23-24).

Finally, the words cloud have significant meaning, as explained by Maitreya in THOTH:

"‘Cloud’ means confusion. He comes whenever confusion comes to humanity. . ."(THOTH, Revelation Of The Revelation, T1. V21).

C. "I shall come for you again . . ."

When we speak about the return of any Prophet, or for that matter Christ, in interpreting this return, we must do so by using the scriptures that give us a clear precedent for the return of a Prophet. The most famous return of a Prophet spoken of in the Bible, is the return of Elijah as John the Baptist. The return of Elijah sets the precedent for how Christ will return.

In the opening of the book of Mark, its author explains that John came to "Prepare the way for the Lord" (Mark 1: 2 - 3). Later, when John was questioned about being the promised Elijah to prepare the way for the Messiah, John concurs that, He is Elijah (Matthew 11: 7-19; Mark 9: 11 - 13; Luke 7: 24 - 35).

How could John the Baptist be Elijah returned? Elijah was taken up to heaven (2 Kings 2:11 - 12), and John was born of his mother’s womb (Luke 1:36). How did Elijah go up to heaven, and return from heaven as John in Elizabeth’s womb? Another interesting thing to point out is that though John was executed (Mark 6: 14 - 29), and did not ascend to heaven, yet he still has to return one more time to prepare the way for the return of the Messiah (Malachi 4: 5 - 6) on the Day of Judgment! How could John die by the sword without being ‘raptured,’ and yet still come back one last time? Heaven is clearly a spiritual state, and not a literal place. Also, in THOTH, Maitreya explains what is meant by the return of the Prophets:

"'In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,'(Matthew 3:1) . . . John the Baptist (Elijah) was expected to come before Christ to prepare the way. Esa himself declared this when he revealed to his disciples that Elias (Elijah) had already come but no one realized who he was, 'but have done unto him whatsoever they liked.' Then his disciples perceived that he meant John the Baptist (Matthew 17:11-13). So John the Baptist was the reincarnation of Elijah who came before Esa to clear the way for him" (THOTH, Commentaries On St. Matthew).

The Bible tells us that the return of a Prophet is not the literal return in the same form as they left, but instead it is a spiritual return: "He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah . ."(Luke 1:17), this is just what Maitreya explains! So the mystery is thus concluded, the return of Christ, like the return of Elijah will be both from heaven, and yet from the womb of a mother, because it is a spiritual return from a spiritual state!

The meaning of holy scriptures are not always understood until later, when the mystery of their nature is ‘unsealed’ (Daniel 12:4 - 10; Isaiah 29:10 - 12; Revelation 5:4 - 5) by the next Prophet. Because of this ‘unsealing’ of prophecy by Maitreya, the veils that have previously kept humanity from understanding the prophetic word are now removed. The Mystery of God is removed just as God promised it would be! "But in the days of the sounding of the Seventh Angel . . . the Mystery of God should be finished" (Rev. 10:7).

D. " . . . and I will . . . write on him My new name."

In one level of interpretation, Christ promises His followers that when He returns, He will bring with Him a different name than the one He left them with, " . . . and I will also write on him My new name" (Revelation 3:12) (but for the most pure interpretation of this verse, the one which will unify humanity, I suggest reading THOTH, Revelation Of The Revelation, T 9). So Maitreya coming with a different name should not surprise anyone, inasmuch as God promised He would send Christ with a New Name!

6. The Prince of Peace promised of in Isaiah, will be the return of the Spirit of Christ, from the womb of a women, though He will in reality come from heaven with clouds. Upon this Prince of Peace will be written a new and different name than the one He left with. The Prince of Peace will be born sometime shortly before the uniting of Israel, and through the use of the Word of God, the Prince of Peace will establish, world peace and unity! These prophecies all speak of and are fulfilled by, Maitreya.

Maitreya, in THOTH, reveals the divine system of government spoken of by Isaiah, which will judge the nations (which we will review in a few moments). The judging of nations is also written about by the prophet Joel:

"In those days and that time when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the valley of ‘the Lord judges’. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel . . ."(Joel 3:1-2).

Joel, like Isaiah gives the reader a rough time line of events that will herald the appearance of the Prince of Peace who will arrive with judgment from God. This time line is signified by the restoration of Israel, just as Isaiah's and St. John's are. It is after the time of Israel’s union that the promised Prince of Peace will arise. Also, we see from the same book, that the Prince of Peace spoken of in Isaiah nine is the same as the Seventh Angel in Revelation, when Joel writes: "Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm in My holy mountain! . . . For the earthquakes before and the heavens tremble . . . For strong is the One who executes My sword"(Joel 2:1,10,11). It is the Seventh Angel who blows the Seventh Trumpet and causes the great earthquake of history (Rev. 16:18), and so the founder of Mount Zion is not only the Prince of Peace pictured in Isaiah nine, but He is also the Hero on the steed with the sword in Revelation nineteen, and also the Seventh Angel in Re

In Revelation chapter sixteen, we are given another hint as to when the Messiah will come. In Revelation 16:16 we read: "And they gathered them together to the placed in Hebrew, Armageddon." Armageddon historically refers to the great battle of history, World War Two (again for the purest interpretation of Revelation, the one which will unify humanity, I suggest the readers attention to THOTH, The Revelation Of The Revelation, T 27). In the very next verse following the great war of Armageddon (WW2), we see the appearance of the Seventh Angel:

"Then the Seventh Angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings, and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on earth"(Rev. 16:17-18).

Maitreya (the Seventh Angel) was born just after World War Two in November of 1944, fulfilling the time prophecies given by St. John as to the time when the Prince of Peace would come. Yet, also as promised by Isaiah, Maitreya was born just before the unification of Israel!

To conclude the prophecies of this section, we see in Joel one last proof that the Seventh Angel found in Revelation is also the Prince of Peace found in Isaiah, Joel writes:

"The Lord also will thunder from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake. . ."(Joel 3:16).

There are many, many other places in the Bible that mention God’s triumph on Zion and Maitreya that I have excluded from this letter for the sake of brevity. However, Mr. ... I believe I have shown you that Maitreya is the promised Christ. I also invite you to read Maitreya's book about Zion and Mount Zion in THOTH as well as The Kingdom Of Heaven On Earth, it will help to confirm that Maitreya is the promised Prince of Peace who will bring the Kingdom Of Heaven On Earth.
