Google
Voice (GV) is a service that allows you to sign
up for a phone number through Google. This
number then can be used in many flexible ways, such
as automatically forwarding to several different
phones, performing different actions based on who is
calling, receiving voicemail as emails, etc.
The Mission now has a GV number
which we will use from now on as our official number for
calling the Mission Center (it has
been changed throughout the website, such as on our
contact us
page). The
greatest advantage of this service for us is that it
can be forwarded to any other number - therefore,
even if for some reason our actual number changes,
we can simply forward the GV number to the new
number. Therefore, this GV number can always
be given as the number to reach the Center, and will
never change!
GV can also forward calls to
several numbers. So if we add
our cell phone numbers to the list, we will be able
to
answer the phone even if no one is in the Center at
the time! It is a very flexible and handy service.
Another advantage of GV is the "Call Me" widget
you will now see next to our contact number in
several places on the website. This allows you
to call us directly from your computer by keying in
your number and then letting Google connect the call
(Google will call your phone first, then connect you
to ours). Hopefully this will facilitate our
outreach by providing an easy way for someone to
contact us as they are browsing!
Our GV number is: (505) 433-7771. If you
also use Google Voice, you can actually call this number directly
from your computer to reach us (you will need a headset to listen and talk).
Questions
and inquiries are welcomed (please read the
questions policy first), as well as ideas for
Mission outreach, offering your
services and talents to help our Cause, etc.
Please only call between 7 AM and 9 PM MST (Mountain
Standard Time) - we do not pick up outside of these
hours. If we miss your call, please leave us a
message, and we will surely get back with you!
